Just as the saying goes, the fastest way to a person’s heart is through their stomach and this is absolutely true for the Heart Chakra. This chakra resonates with the color green so any green foods are a perfect fit. Choose a heart healthy meal; make sure you keep cholesterol, fat and sodium to a minimum. I also think this is a great time to eat foods that you love, or maybe make something special for someone you love. (If anyone is keeping notes, green beans are my favorite food, I love them and they are green!)
Here is a recipe for a salad I LOVE that is full of greens and big enough to share with those you love!
Strawberry Blue Cheese Salad
1 A Large bag of organic mixed spring greens
1 Pint Strawberries, hulled and cut into quarters
8 oz. Tub of Bleu Cheese Crumbles
8 oz. Bag of Candied Pecans (Trader Joes has my favorite)
Raspberry Vinaigrette Salad Dressing
I like to layer this salad in the order it is listed above but it is just as yummy to toss it too. Remember to add the pecans and dressing right before serving to preserve crunchiness!
