Orange is the color for the Sacral Chakra and represents your connection to others and sexuality. A good snack to support your Sacral Chakra would be orange slices for their color with nuts or seeds for healthy sexual organs. I also think that this would be a good time to try a few foods that are natural aphrodisiacs:
Hot Chilies- Chilies get your blood pumping and stimulates nerve endings
Asparagus and Avocados- These foods are high in vitamin E and help your body with hormone production, particularly testosterone which is the hormone responsible for your sex drive.
Bananas- These are full of potassium which supports muscle strength
Chocolate- My LOVE of chocolate is enough to turn me on but it also releases phenyl ethylamine giving you a feeling of well-being and excitement.
Oysters- What is it about these slimy creatures that is an aphrodisiac? Zinc which, similar to vitamin E; it increases your body’s testosterone production.
Pomegranates- Not only does the pom look similar to a womb but it also is full of antioxidants, which promotes healthy blood flow and increased sensitivity.
Red Wine- Not only does red wine relax you but like the pomegranate, it is full of antioxidants for healthy blood flow.
Salmon, Walnuts, Flax Seeds and Pumpkin Seeds- These are all full of Omega 3 fatty acids that keep hormones healthy.
Vanilla- Vanilla has a calming and soothing effect whether you are enjoying its scent or flavor.
Strawberries- Thanks to the French these have become the fruit of romantics. Don’t forget to add a little chocolate drizzle!
